GNER doesn't actually use a code- It's all under the normal value single fares stage of ticket bookings.

On the examples i've checked out so far (York-Kings Cross, Inverness-Kings Cross) , the cheapest GNER single fare is literally just £2-3 more, and I've not seen any of the cheapest GNER fares/DM fares available yet, although i didn't look mid-week.

Actually they do, the code is MALLARD225. There looks to be virtually no availability at weekends, although there's quite a bit in the week. Also, the fact that you can't travel until after the half term holiday is useless for me!

Superb offer this. Got my self a Crewe-Edinburgh return in 1st, for £20, and its a £14'er from Bangor to Crewe. So for £34, a daytrip to Edinburgh from North Wales, will be a nice break from my Uni work!

Also a Daytrip to Euston is booked, but thats a 3 leg trip, Bangor-Crewe-Euston-Bangor.

Had a trip out courtesy of Virgin Trains and Daily Mail.

TPE185 from Darlington to Manchester
Virgin Voyager from Manchester to Birmingham (£10 First Class)
Virgin EWS Class 90 + Mk2s + DVT (or 'Mobile Museum' as the train manager called it) from Birmingham to Manchester (£10 First Class)
TPE185 from Manchester to Huddersfield
Northern from Huddersfield to Honley

On neither occasion was I asked to show the Daily Mail vouchers. Think I'll probably try to get another trip off on the offer if I can fit it in.
