class 20 D8154 is being repainted with full yellow cab ends and snowploughs. Interestingly, it will be running with class 20 D8007 with mixed passenger and freight at the GCRN diesel gala, to simulate early 1970s workings on the WHL.
Other repainting projects include 56097, which, rather oddly in my opinion, is being repainted in to 1960s BR green :|, and a couple of privatley owned 'toads' which will become part of a bird watching train along gotham moor.

nope, the owner has been faffing about with it for ages. I think it shoudl have been put back in to the livery it came in (Metals sector) or rail blue. we have too many green diesels there, the 03, 08, 20s, 25, 37, 116 and now the 56  and 47292 is being put in to large logo, with 47765 intended to be intercity. I feel like saying to them... BR DID OTHER LIVERIES YOU KNOW!

don't know him too well, but I don't think he's a steam veg. if he was, knowing what he's saying here, he'd paint it in to LMS red

My point was that the owner is going to spend £ks on a repaint he can paint it in any sodding colour he wants. Its only paint, it stops it rusting.

It is well know fact that paint affects the performance of a loco

Oh but it does! Everyone will hate the loco and vandals will Loadhaulise it overnight.

Also if you have too much paint on a loco, it'll slow down, and affect it's RA

well no, still can't get why some 08s are in LMS livery, they were built for BR

I would guess that comes from the class 11's or where they 12's,whatever, which were built by the LMS & looked identical to an 08.

Green grid.................WTF. BR Blue or Railfreight red stripe.

No Dave, not loadhaul beeatch!
