Evening,

I passed the above on the M1 today, it was on a low loader heading southbound near Junction 23, any ideas where it was heading?

Weybourne. North Norfolk Railway for its Mixed Traction gala this weekend.

Seems to be a day of 25s on the move, as 'sister' D7612 was also on the move from Buckfastleigh to the WSR for their up coming gala.

Interesting, thank you.

I do wonder how commercially successful these movements are.

I guess it’s more a case of enjoying seeing the loco that you’ve put the effort into restoring stretching its legs on a different line?
Probably a nice weekend away too if it covers the costs.

Technically Sheringham, as that's where the offloading ramp is ;)

Don't forget it's not just the gala, there will be photo charters & similar booked as well whilst it's at the NNR.

It's not likely to turn a massive profit for the owners, but it'll make some money from hire fees.
