did anybody else know about this
i was at Buckfastleigh at the time
just come of the dmu with 20110 and 20118
D6737 came on the front for her second round trip
right I'll skipp the boring part
after coming back from the cafe
i heared somebody say that the 37 had catched fire outside of Staverton
a moment later 20118 started up and run down to the signal box by the bridge
to get the token then she went down line to rescue the 37
20 minutes later returned on the front of the dmu the 37 on the other end
20118 then runned round coupled up to the 37 pushed it into the headshunt
we then had to wait for the main set to return to take us back to Totnes

Traction Blower failure I heard. whatever that is
Traction Motor blower.
It's a fan that forces air across the top of the traction motor to cool it.
It's similar to the water pump breaking on a car. All the coolant around the engine begins to boil and the engine over heats.
