D1062 running Saturday at SVR

[EE Type 3]

D1062 'Western Courier' is expected to be running the diesel diagram on the Severn Valley Railway this Saturday, after a long extensive overhaul, and repaint into Maroon with small yellow warning panels.

Hopefully should be a faultless day for all concerned, I'll be out to photograph it

It's a joke we were having with a member of the WLA yesterday at Crewe, at how you never see 1015 and 1062 together, and how D1015 is always running around with nameplates from classmates

Indeed the 52 is out Saturday, unfortunately i'm rostered on it and it's the Blood and Custard set (will change as under Murphy's law). Will be nice to meet some members of the forum so come and say hello on the train.

Adults it's £13 children £6.50 and OAPs is £11 for the whole day. If you have a BR Pass it's £3.50.

First Class is £3 for Adults and £1.50 for children for each single trip. There is First Class right at the front and right at the back, if your after the noise then you'll need First Class.

It was supposed to be returning to traffic this year however failed on a test run and requires the radiator groups to be rebuilt.

There's a Diesel driving school going around so you can take pictures of that. Sadly nothing on a service train.

I notice that the Blood and Custard set is rostered for the diagram with 37906 the followng week and as you say it will be FC right behind the engine, that happened the last time I had 906 at the valley in May!
