Not even sure anyone can help, just after some advise and pointers, I have applied for jobs with FGW to be an conductor or working on the stations, however each time i apply im being told my CV does not match the skill set requirements for the roles applied for,
I have almost 8 years experience in customer service and sales, working face to face and over the phone, i have also done some work experience (long time ago) at Bath Spa. Im confident i have what it takes however feel my CV might not be "selling me" very well

Would anyone mind having a look over my cv and seeing if you can give me any pointers?
I really want to try and get in the industry in some shape or form.

Ask yourself the following types of questions:

What exactly have I done that will help me in a role on the railway? Have I had any jobs where I had to follow a rule book? Have I experience of working on my own? Have I ever dealt with difficult situations? Have I had to cope with shift work, early starts, night shifts and late finishes?

Once you have answered those questions, then ask yourself if you have any good examples of what you have done, how you did it, and what the results of your actions were.

At that point, you should look at your CV and see how it matches up with your answers. You can then add to it by examining the job description and person specification (if there is one) for the specific role you are applying for.

Oh, and don't lie!

Get someone to proof read it to fine tune any spelling and/or grammatical slips also.

e.g. You meant to say 'advice' twice but put 'advise'
