When I was taught to drive long ago, I was taught to use the whole road. Including cutting corners on bends when you can see clearly its safe to do so. And is legal (not crossing solid white lines)
So why do so many carefully stick to the left, never going over the centre line?
It is slower, and more wear and tear on their car, and a rougher ride for their passengers.
