Thanks for info cornish pirate its at their Swindon office. Hopefully will get through to the interview stage. I suppose it will be competence based questions. I presumed you passed the interview. If so, how are you enjoying the role

Hi Cornish pirate. I’m waiting for an interview date, was your interview same day. I am nervous as interviews are tough on the railway.

Hi yes the interview was about 15mins after I knew I was successful in the assessment.

Hey, I'm a customer host for GWR...I had my assessment centre in September and my interview in October....good luck!

I’ve applied for customer host but I also have an assessment for conductor next week, no further info on the customer host role though.

Without trying to put a dampener on it, your Conductor assessment will be all or nothing for you. If you fail that, you cannot be considered for another job in the same category (in this case, customer service) so your Customer Host application will automatically be rejected.

Thanks tiptoptaff, I wasn’t aware that was how it worked.

I’ve passed the first assessment centre (the tests). This is the group tests and hopefully the interview if I get through to that!

Is there a 6 month wait if I’m unsuccessful?

Unfortunately yes. It'll be 6months from the date of rejection
