Hi I know the Snow Hill lines are solidly 150 but do they still work out of New St?
In particular is there still a diagram on Sat afternoon working from Shrub Hill up the Lickey? Do they ever get as far as Leamington? What is working up to Shrewsbury these days? Many thanks.

There's three inbound 150 workings from Leamington Spa in the morning, and three outbound workings terminating at Leamington in the evening peak. The units are stabled overnight in the northbound bays at Leamington Spa.

I think there's still a Worcester Shrub Hill to New Street via Barnt Green service in the hands of a 150, but I'm not completely certain on that. There's definitely a two car 150 working that terminates at New Street late in the evening, about 10pm if I remember correctly.

The Shrewsbury turns from New Street are in the hands of London Midlands' three carriage 170s.

The only time 150s use New Street on services in the week are just one late night run in from Worcester. On Sat and Sunday they work on the Rugeley and the route via Bromsgrove and that's it.

Thanks for the replies; I know they're not leaving the Midlands yet but I want to buy one of those 'Great Escape' £10 tickets which seems to be like a Day Ranger this time. I'm not sure whether to buy a weekday or Saturday one (Sunday is out due to engineering work on the Stratford line), hence the question about the existence of the Lickey diagram and any other workings through New St. I don't know who else to ask!

Not sure about New Street but from leamington the are 5 departures to Snow Hill on the week day morning (last departs 0800) also 1 from Snow Hil to leamington. In the evening the are just 3 from Snow Hill to leamington. The best working is an early morning one from Snow Hill to Stratford via solihull and Hatton North Curve.

On a Saturday the are 2 up from Leamington and one return at a silly time on saturday night. The are also morning and evening ECS workings from Tyseley/Dorridge/Stratford as well as from Leamington to Dorridge/Stratford.

:D

On Saturdays, there an Class 150 which works an Birmingham New Street to Rugeley Trent Valley service! i know there one leaves Birmingham at 1039, arrives at Rugeley Trent Valley at 1136 and departs Rugeley Trent Valley at 1142, it's ether an Class 150/1 or 150/2, even know they only have 150216 and 150214

i always catch the 1131 from Rugeley Town on Saturdays to get to work (arrives at 1136)

The Class 150 units are always welcome on the Rugeley Line. They keep time much better than the 170s and the 170/153 combinations. The 150s might be older but they certainly seem more suited to the route.
