Only in N I could a genuine Victorian railway station be in the grounds of The main transport museum of N Ireland and let this happen

I used to use Cultra station quite a bit in the early '90s and even back then you had to look hard to see that there was anything of any merit there at all.

The state of railway architecture in NI generally is lamentable though, with only Whitehead, Carrick, Antrim, Coleraine and Lisburn jumping out at me as being in any way special. The state of Whitehead was a disgrace for years, but I suppose we should just be thankful it didn't go the way of Jordanstown, Larne Town and others on the line. It's a splendid station now though. I suppose Portrush is OK too, but too much has gone (not least the overall roof).
