I just can't get this dyslexia bit. Blackpool? (Referring to the first and sixth letters?)
If you're having to use Google Maps and are later proven correct then in theory the location as a whole is not acceptable because the place is probably too obscure to satisfy the requirements of the thread.
That doesn't mean people can't consult maps searching for places to guess though!

Cheers Ivo - I'd agree with you WRT the necessity to use it, but I thought I'd check. My logic, if you can call it that, was that a dyslexic might read "Heapey" as "Happy", which would make it seem like a pleasant place to live.:roll:

Should there be an apostrophe in there? I'm thinking "Bear is good news..." as opposed to "Bears good news..." as in someone giving the news to the children.

I agree. Assuming the answer is Pudsey, the apostrophe would indicate either "bear is" or "belonging to the bear". Without the apostrophe, it indicates "carries" or more than one ursine animal.
The town is Pudsey, as you say. Well done.
I considered the apostrophe, but omitted it as I also intended the pun - the bear's good news, but also Pudsey [the Bear], bears[or brings] good news......
