Esteemed Cooper Sahib: I was enabled to guess the answer to your clue, by casting memory back to the month of February in the year preceding this one; where -- vis-a-vis a clue posed not by your respected self -- a highly-similar process regarding figuring things out, was required in connection with that very same station on the historically-revered rail network of Great Britain. With matters being thus: your humble servant feels obliged to decline your munificent offer of turn; and to say, in the parlance of you English folk, "open floor".

I'll have a go now, if I may.

Cody, mighty hunter, complains distractedly: tan feet neater -- Bison Bill; to skin-bronzing studio, concerning slapdash job on his pedal extremities.

Just to offer something : Brechin (Caledonian Railway [Brechin] heritage line) -- the notch, an indication of undesirables having (unsuccessfully, one hopes) done damage in the hope of accomplishing a break-in ??
