Girvan?? (reference to the Gir Forest nature reserve in Gujarat State, India -- the only place in the world where the Indian lion is found in the wild?)

Good heavens -- thought my answer was totally nutty and off-the-wall. I knew about the lions, but had never heard of the cattle.

Correct. "Agley" -- should anyone be puzzled thereby -- "gone agley", old form of words meaning gone wrong or screwed-up -- largely a Scots expression; but hopefully there's a cryptic-clue equivalent of poetic licence !

I'm pretty sure you're both making it up.

This could have been a pub in Stoke on Trent.

Not so, my liege -- Mr. Burns and his celebrated mouse --

"The best-laid plans of mice and men
Gang aft agley."
I'm not taking English lessons from the owner of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant! I bet his mice have two heads.
Got it in one.

Your turn to throw the next clue.
Thank you.

Next clue:

Is this the station for the newly deployed Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers or not?
