Apologies for disappearing; yesterday was rather 'varied' due to the storm cancellations between Carlisle and Glasgow. But now I can return my attention to more amusing pursuits!

Switch cards are no longer in operation, so "switch" is a clue to an anagram following.

Not Moreton-in-M. either, I fear. (The "watery area" bit is not directly related to the station's actual name.) Perhaps I should re-word: In watery area: chap reminiscing about the time when, we hear, he ran an establishment dedicated to modish music and dancing.
