Something to do with a grazing in a field, so without relevance to the rest of the clue other than an animal which grazes in a field, and part of the answer being phonetically based, I give you:

'Uddersfield.

Phew.

As I'm a bit out of touch with ready-made clues so I'll work on some with the ridiculous assumption that I'll get another answer right. In the meantime, let's have an open floor.

Scrap the above, sorry, I've just thought of one (if it's not too late. If so, I'll retract my clue):

There's no buzz about these thick cut chips

Not Humphrey Park although your breakdown isn't a million miles away from the answer (but no link to Humphrey or Park).

Clue 1: There's no buzz about these thick cut chips.
Clue 2: You would alight at this station to see sporting royalty.

I'll go with Dumfries (sort-of "dumb" fries)

As to clue 2, I believe the football team is called the "Queen of the South".

And we have a winner, congratulations.

The 'no buzz' implies the removal of the letter 'b' from 'dumb', and the 'fries' are obvious. Yes, Dumfries is home to Queen Of The South.

3 points for you, and your turn to try for a clean sheet.
