Going back to the previous Leppings Lane answer which may have prompted this clue:

Runners = blades (on ice or a sleigh), and the Blades are a nickname for Sheffield United.
A Derby match in soccer is one against a local rival, which in this case would be Sheffield Wednesday.
Sheffield Wednesday's ground is HILLSBOROUGH, which is also on the tram network.

So Hillsborough is my answer. Might still but a wrong answer but a pretty good one IMO.
