Sorry for the slow response, I've been hiding in the Berkshire countryside since Friday. Sadly it isn't Theale, a station which I passed through on Friday. As a clue it is a station in a PTE served by no fewer than 4 TOCs.

I just went to do a check on the exact number of TOCs and spotted an issue. I was looking for the three letter code ALE which is on the destination posters at Crewe (Platform 6 if anyone wants to look) for Liverpool South Parkway but NRE & RTT use LPY. For that reason I'll have to admit defeat and say open floor.

Anagram of ospital and W is a 'secondary artery' compared with N and S which are primary ones?

This is fairly obviously a combination of Asta, c(aught) and Eton which leads to East Acton.

Correct, of course. Any sort of knowledge of the Thin Man movies gets you there quite quickly. I really wish I knew what has happened to my box set of all six: it was one of those situations where I knew exactly where it was right up until I looked (Schrödinger's DVD. perhaps.)
