Hint: the name has quite often come to some prominence, in the second week of July.

Further hint: it's not on Great Britain's national rail system; or on a Metro or urban-tram outfit.

Time for a hint.

Take a station name, remove the letters U,K, I and P, and form the remaining letters into an anagram of some of the words in the clue, whilst sipping on a nice Campari and soda.

Yes it is Luton Airport Parkway, which minus UKIP anagrams into top royal warrant

Must have been the Campari clue which gave it away. "Were you truly wafted here from paradise? Nah mate Mill Hill Broadway" doesn't have the same ring to it. :D

Actually it was seeing the letters "k p r y a w a" that helped me, I didn't spot the Lorraine Chase connection until I'd got the station.

Next clue:

This was a sought after area before losing the Underground.

I'll try Poplar on the DLR.

Leicester Square? Another city, a shape, obviously smaller than that place in the East Miidlands.

Indeed it is, the square does have a few less MacDonalds as well, also (for fairness) a few less Costa Coffees as well
