Sorry here goes:

Of mixed race (anagram of race) = Caer
quiet = p (piano, musical instruction)
rugged = hilly

Now you've clarified -- thanks ! -- very good ! I'm a total dud on anything that concerns music; and got thoroughly hung-up on the "mixed race" bit, oblivious to anagram possibilities.

Here's some of the musical terms you need for solving cryptic clues:

p - piano (softly)
pp - pianissimo (very soft)
f - forte (loudly)
ff- fortissimo (very loud)

The notes - A to G

Tonic sol-fa - do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti, do

You've missed some dynamic volumes (and I'm not just talking about the unofficial three or even four fs or ps, mf (mezzo forte (quite loud)) and mp (mezzo piano (quite soft)).

Thanks. About the only other Italian I know -- "narrow gauge railway", and "do not lean out of the window" !

Before we get rebuked for threadjacking: "ferrovie scartimento ridotto", and "e pericoloso sporgersi". I think the latter one is lovely -- always suggests to me, a sidekick of Al Capone in the 1920s. You really didn't want to cross old E. Pericoloso...

No it is not Cemetery Road.

Think of what is contained in a cemetery.

It is not Gravesend or Bodorgan.

The station is in London Zones 1 - 6, and is not served by the tube.

Kensal Rise?? (The well-known Kensal Green Cemetery; and "Rise" ultimately, if one believes in the resurrection of the body...)
