The result of a beaver on a small river; ending forest?

Apologies if this is a bad clue, as I suspect it is!

Don't know about bad -- difficult, certainly :| ... despairing attempt -- process of arriving at which, I'll keep quiet about -- Kidsgrove???

Kintbury?

Station code KIT (Kit - a young beaver)
Kintbury station is adjacent to a small river - the Kennet
There's probably a forest nearby

All this is more in hope of prompting a hint than expectation of being correct.

Castlerock (Co. Londonderry)

Anagram of Castor (Beaver genus) and Leck (Leck Beck is a watercourse in Lancashire)

(BTW I was lying about "Ngyna")

Sorry for not replying sooner - it is none of them!

Brookwood

The Brook is the small river, and then the wood is a small forest, or the beaver will put wood in the river.

So the beaver puts an end to the forest, by gnawing its trees down so that they fall into the river? (Just trying to get my head round it.)

(This isn't a new "entry" -- just requesting clarification of A Challenge's one !)

Good one. You should've left it open.

I feel guilty, plus I'm struggling to come up with a clue.

I'll have to throw the floor open.

I'll go if I may:

Religious outfit charitably and indiscriminately furnishing assistance to rail climbers in need thereof?

Not Albany Park (would be interested to know how you came up with that one !)

Hint: what substance is poured onto rails in front of a train, to allow its wheels to get a better grip?
