On Friday night I found myself south of the river, got into a nasty bar row. Haven't a clue how I got home in one piece!

I'm loving this one. It's going to be different. I've been trying all day. Here's where I'm at. Am I warm?.... :oops:

HOT = Henley-on-Thames
ELO = Elton and Orston

I can't seem to see anything there...

Next guess is....

HO = Holbeck
TE = Thornaby
LO = Longsight

... still struggling but I keep trying...

Hotelo a French/Belgian type of hotel? Still in a kerfuffle... <(

Let me think..... :D

Not at all.

Here's some hints:

It's nothing to do with Othel(l)o, in case anyone thought it might be.
Station codes aren't relevant.
Experience in the armed forces or police might help.

That last was too much of a hint: I immediately thought of Hoscar and then checked to see if it existed. [Open floor.]

A lot of people didn't think so, anyway I don't like it to drag out to long.

To sum up Hotel (H) + O (Oscar) = Hoscar.

Seacook says "Open floor".

Fantastic!

If you didn't get it:

Sue's mate = Mel from the Bake Off programme
's = 's
Officer = Cop
Mel's cop - 'we hear' = sounds like

so:
Meols Cop

Your go!

Just to confirm, my earlier clue was indeed Barrow Haven , apologies for dropping off the grid, well done to Dale Cooper. I must have fallen asleep under the table :lol:
