There are two anagrams of Leamington Spa. I didn't see it either.It would have been easier to identify had it said "assorted characters" or some such, but it was a fine clue.

'Genial Postman' and 'Signalman Poet' are both clever anagrams of Leamington Spa. I must admit I too was initially looking for Pat somewhere in the answer.
