Making a post to try and get something moving -- not because I think my answer will be correct.

I'm pop-culturally-deprived, and had never heard of Dan Bell before reading the above clue. Google informs me that he chronicles and films dismal and semi-derelict shopping malls in America. So one might say that he's a "mall guy" -- which I understand is the way to pronounce: Milngavie.

I've never heard of Dan Bell either so it will come as no surprise that Milngavie is wrong.
