Craven Arms?
(Open floor if it's correct)
Another one from me to keep it going:
Björn from Sweden is known as Edward in this village.

Can't think of a hint as such, which wouldn't give it away. Offering an alternative (long-winded, I'm afraid) clue:
This station is in Scotland. Supposing it weren't -- one might imagine an Anglo-Saxon official with news of the local militia or "fyrd", numbering fifty men, being unwilling to turn out and fight: reporting -- using a Roman numeral -- in a muddlesome way, fyrd L AWOL.
Presumably Wallyford
The next clue is:
Beefy bogus journeyman?
Frantically thrashing around: Oxenholme Lake District?? -- episode from long ago, with a cattle-thief from the Cumbrian central mountains mounting an expedition to more settled parts, and when making off with his haul, claiming to be legitimately taking his "oxen home" -- thus being a "bogus journey-man"...
You are on the right lines with the beefy part of the clue but derailed bu the rest.
Oxford Circus??? ("ford circus" somehow equating to "bogus journeyman", in a way which I can't fathom)
I dunno; I'll just have to invent one:
Is it the Borsetshire village of Cowsham Clapton?

I reckon it's just up the road from 'Cow'den, ie Oxted. Bill and Teds bogus journey![]()
Have realised that the one I set, wasn't quite "cricket".
Sir Isaac reputedly expressed pride and joy over his dying as described by this station
Then it must have been Criccieth.

I don't know why but:
Maiden Newton?
I fear not -- you're one county too far west.
