Yay! Thank you.

It was thanks to Calthrop's guess and the GSW line clue that helped.

I'm away all day tomorrow so I'll throw open the floor.

I'll set one, if I may.

Clean bill of health for animal-husbandry operative at heritage line contact point?

Not Riddlesdown.

Clue

The locomotive designer in question produced both steam and electric railway engines...some of the steam ones might even have reached this station late in their lives....

Nope, not Swindon or Fairbourne.

This station is on the Northern (NT) network.......also the high power referred to in the clue could just as easily be horse power, or sauce, or a well known printer producer......

In desperation I've resorted to a sledgehammer to crack this one and come up with:

Ravensthorpe?

Good shot with that sledge :)

Ravensthorpe is correct- Sir Vincent Raven, the NER loco engineer who gave us the mighty Q6 and also the EF1 locos used on the Shildon- Teesside 1500v DC line.

add to that store, with h andp in it gives us Ravensthorpe. I thought it was an easy one!
