Turkey Street is on the line from Liverpool Street to Cheshunt via Seven Sisters. The connexion with Christmas seemed a bit too obvious!

OK - this has now lost its point as we've now moved on a day, but if anyone's remotely interested, yesterday was Maundy Thursday.

One possible derivation [other derivations are available] of "Maundy" is from the Latin mandatum - reminiscent of the words of Jesus Christ "A New Commandment give I unto you"

Which for some reason, made me think of a railway station with "Command" in the title. So I was looking for Lympstone Commando.
