"Tis Sixty Years Since" is an alternate title for Walter Scott's novel "Waverley"

This, and his following novels, became known as the "Waverley" novels.

These novels lent their name to three stations:- North Bridge [opened by the North British Railway], General [opened by the Edinburgh & Glasgow Railway] and Canal St [opened by the Edinburgh, Leith & Newhaven Railway].

In 1868 all three were aquired and demolished by the North British Railway, which then built the present Waverley station to replace them.
