Doing a barmy one, just to -- hopefully -- get things rolling. According to the Book of Genesis: after the unfortunate business with Abel, Cain went to dwell in the land of Nod. One takes it that anywhere mentioned by name in the Bible, will be in the Northern Hemisphere: am choosing thus to read "southern part", as implying Southern Hemisphere counterparts ("southern part") as being "in reverse": thus, not "Nod", but "Don". And -- stuff from olden times, ancient tongues, etc. -- "caster", from the Romans -- the answer has got to be Doncaster.

You started off well, particularly the second sentence, but got hopelessly tangled in your own logic. It really is a lot more straightforward than that.
