Thank you. I was a bit worried whether that would count under the cryptic theme or whether I was just being daft and annoying people.
For yours - Alloa? (Google's chat apps have had several different names over time, one of which is Google Allo)

No, not Alloa - but you're close. Only 24 miles away as it happens - as the crow flies!

Interesting!

Ok, so how about Milngavie?
People searching for themselves or health or whatever will meet (and hangout whilst waiting for their friends) at the start of the West Highland Way.

No, not Milngavie. Here's another hint:- Place for a gunshot wedding?

Correct answer. Saughton (anagram of both Hangouts & a gunshot) is a tram stop in Edinburgh which is exactly 24 miles as the crow flies from Alloa.
Your turn to kill the bride!
Thank you.

A bit of a tongue twister for the next clue:

Several cities in Surrey see some Southern services.

Several cities have them. Surrey = SY = South Yorkshire. South Yorks = Southern. Services =Church mass.
Cathedral? Tram stop in Sheffield?

It's time to visit the hinterland:

Several cities -
in Surrey - is the location of the station
see some Southern services -

The blanks will be filled in if and when necessary.

Ok, taking it all a bit more literally - Guildford?
There are several Surrey cities in the Southern network, but only one that has a limited Southern service.
