Sheffield can be rejuvenated, needing only the right leader

Freshfield?
At a guess, the symbol is an x so my guess is Exeter (St. Davids?)

Not Essex road.
There's no x in the station name although NRT code x does apply to all trains that you can board/alight from there.
I was thinking of the code "s" for "train stops to set-down only, and Essex Rd begins with "ess"
I understood your reasoning, I was just adding another clue
The S is right but just a simple S not the Ess version.
I could have expaded and broken down the clue to
Stop to set down only
AND
set down
Ah! It is Sandplace, is it not? Good clue!
Now try, Superman's not returned
Kenton
Clarkston
Was Debussy inspired by a maiden from here?
No, sorry.

OK - time for a clue:-
Think of the meaning of the name of a Northern town in relation to one of Debussy's preludes.
Right - perhaps another clue is needed.
madannie77 and Meridian richard have made good attempts by thinking of Clair de lune and Dances of Delphi.
But the prelude I have in mind is No.8 - "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair"
Can you think of a northern town whose meaning is related?
I had decided on that as the prelude you had in mind, but I haven't puzzled out the town yet. Back on with the thinking cap!
