Cruise Ships, on board spend

I am trying to find a reliable statistic that can answer what the average customer spend is per hour, when a cruise ship is at sea (not in port). This could be for any particular ship, or a cruise line, or even an industry average. I realise this depends on many variables, but if anyone can offer an answer with a reference to the source of information I would be eternally grateful. I did once see a documentary about a Cunard Ship which gave this info, but alas I have lost it. It is to help make a point in a book chapter that I'm currently writing, but I need to reference the source of the information.

Can't help but I have been on two Thomson Cruises. My deal was for 49 pounds each, our drinks were free. All inclusive. I also found out that not many passengers paid the same amount for the cruise. All cruises are cashless . I suspect that P&O and Cunard are extremely different to Thomson and that they rely heavily on on board spend.

I imagine that a lot might depend on the type of cruise. A trip round the Caribbean, aimed at sunseekers, would probably attract a different clientele to, for example, a whale spotting jaunt up the coast of Canada.
