Croydon - Gomshall - Holmwood - Croydon

On Sat 1 Feb I need to travel from Croydon to Gomshall, then later the same day return to Croydon from Holmwood.

Each ticket is £7.50 single, but is there any cheaper return ticket I could get which would cover both journeys?

Can't check at the moment but I suspect that the Gomshall ticket should be valid via Dorking, leaving you only needing a Holmwood - Dorking single. Someone should be able to confirm shortly.

It is as bb21 says: an £8.10 Croydon-Gomshall offpeak day return, plus a £3.30 Holmwood-Dorking single, with a short walk from Dorking station to Dorking (Deepdene) station to pick up the train back to Redhill for Croydon.

Alternatively without a change at Dorking, you can go via Sutton to West Croydon.

The online planner says Holmwood-Dorking will have trains on Saturday - is that really the case, I wonder?

There are currently no trains to Holmwood ntil early February due to the landslip at Ockley, so you will need to get a rail replacement bus.

The regular 93 service costs £3.40 single, so the same as the train pretty much, just 10p in it. Depends when you get to the station what is due.
