Since Manchester have done exactly the same, I wonder if the Croydon and Manchester authorities have liaised over this matter as both areas have tramway systems in areas that were subject to the recent mass criminality, in order to bring back people into the inner areas. It would have been good if such contacts had been made, as a co-ordinated response to the damage caused, not only to the shops, but to the reputation of both areas.

Doubtful, just similar thinking. On the news it said shoppers in Manchester were down 20% this week on the week before due to lingering concerns.
