Looking at Realtime Trains earlier on and doing a bit of totting up of some mileages I noticed, based on the miles and chains distances stated, Stratford to Whitechapel works out at 3m 35ch whereas in the other direction Whitechapel to Stratford works out at 3m 26ch.
Can anybody confirm the correct (or more accurate) distance, or indeed advise if the alignments of the 2 tracks is such that the Paddington direction could indeed be 9ch further.
