Crossrail Question

Seen as Crossrail will replace all local 'Metro' trains Shenfield-Liv St, and some from Padd-Slough/Maidenhead, I have a couple of questions:
1) What wil happen to the platforms at Padd/Liv St taken up by the current local trains?
2) Will there still be the same level of service from Padd-Reading slows despite XR?

I've asked this in the past and the answer (from memory) was:

1. Platforms will be free at Paddington, but it'll be harder to free up at Liverpool Street due to certain lines needing certain platforms. Bear in mind it'll free up more space at Liverpool Street than at Paddington.

2. IF the wires are extended to Reading then you are potentially talking eight existing services being replaced (four per hour semi-fast to Reading, two to Greenford and two Heathrow Connect). I would imagine that the Paddington "overground" platforms will be for services only stopping at Slough or running non-stop to Reading (plus Heathrow Express).

Crossrail environmental statement Vol 1 Chapter 2 has this:

Maidenhead (Great Western Main Line)
The majority of services that start east of Reading will be replaced by Crossrail. Some services that start at, or west of Reading will be amended to operate fast between Reading and Paddington, with station calls at Maidenhead, Slough, Hayes and Ealing Broadway removed.

Shenfield (Great Eastern Main Line)
Metro’ services will be replaced by Crossrail, apart from the peak hours only service between Gidea Park and Liverpool Street. Additional services provided from the Lee Valley and or London Stansted Airport.

Another bit of the Crossrail site suggests that in the peaks, they will run 12 tph from Shenfield, and there will also be 6 tph into Liverpool St, a slight increase on the curernt 16 tph.

The recent GWML RUS also mentions that any platform space released at Paddington will be used mainly for additional long distance services.
