Does anyone know a list of locations of Crossing Keeper manned crossings?
Its a job I'm drawn to as a foot in the door. I'm used to shifts all hours of the day and night, like my own company
and don't mind arrogant drivers. I am a tram driver at the moment hence the above. Starting salary is more than I'm paid at the moment and there is little chance of me getting onto the driving side of heavy rail. Mind you I fancy the chance to be out in the open so to speak.
Keep checking the Network Rail site but the one in Doncaster is a bit too much travelling time. I have noticed many are short term contracts - I take it some crossings will still ave a good many years left in them. I quite fancy the relief as a bit of variety and attracts a salary premium.
