This is my first post, so I hope it's not inappropriate.

I have an upcoming assessment at Cross Country in train planning. I've had assessments for similar positions with some other TOCs in which both I was asked about maintenance depots. Fortunately I was well prepared then, but I'm finding it more tricky to research Cross Country in detail.

Here is what I have currently from googling and this forum:

HST Depots:- Neville Hill – Leeds
Craigentinny- Edinburgh
Laira- Plymouth
Long Rock- Penzance (Also Voyagers)

220/221: Central Rivers TMD- Burton
Longsight- Manchester

Crew Depots: Birmingham New Street, Bournemouth, Bristol Temple Meads, Cambridge, Derby (Drivers only), Edinburgh Waverley, Leeds, Leicester, Longsight (Manchester), Nottingham and Plymouth

Can anybody shed any more light especially Turbostar maintenance and some of the end of line TMDs?

Thanks in advance.

The Voyagers also find themselves at Crofton TMD, near Wakefield, and there are several stabled overnight at the far side of Tyne Yard in Gateshead.

Most of the Turbostar maintenance I believe is carried out by London Midlands Tyseley Depot on behalf of XC, with some of the more recent heavier work being carried out by Arriva's LNWR Depot at Crewe, and Wabtec / Brush Loughborough.

Does any light maintenance still get done at Cambridge?

Eastleigh T&RSMD (operated by some Arriva subsidiary or other) sees 7 or 8 Voyagers overnight and they provide the trains that start from various 'south coast' locations, such as Bournemouth, Southampton, Reading, Guildford.

XC also have traincrew depots at Reading and Newcastle, (former traincrew depots at preston and Brighton with drivers only at old oak but still managed from Reading) while Manchester crews are based in Piccadilly station, not longsight.

Units are services overnight at Eastleigh (formerly old oak common and three bridges but not since brighton work was lost) long rock, laira, bristol - barton hill i think, muddy waters, longsight, crofton, tyne yard and craigentinny. Theres possibly a couple of units serviced in glasgow too but unsure of location
