Applied for a couple of depots. Best of luck all.
Do you live within an hour of each of the depots then? I was condisering doing the same as I own a house which I live in in the South West, and a flat which I rent out in Edinburgh which I could move back to if necessary. I didn't in the end as I thought it may look disingenuous as realistically I can only live in one place at a time. Fingers crossed my application is accpeted for Bristol.

I live 62 minutes from Cambridge and 65 mins from Leicester, but depending on start times I can get it to within 1 hour if I drive 20 mins to Kettering then it's only 20 mins to Leicester on the train.

We shall see, those couple of minutes may take me out of contention for both. At 4 am I'm within an hour of each, but I don't know how they work the 60 minutes out.

Well good luck to you on both!

Don’t quote me, but I'm pretty sure I’ve read somewhere on here once that they use Google Maps and they work out the times at rush hour traffic but I could be wrong.

yes they do, they check to make sure that you live within 1 hour of the depot that you apply for.

Just had two emails so I assume one for each depot applied for with regards to the online assessments.

Edit: It appears I now have 3 identical emails, so not entirely sure what's going on here.

Yep same email, filled out the form and now I guess we just need to wait for another email from the OPC once they've processed our details.

I've had the same email. Applied for Birmingham. Any ideas what's involved in the online assessment and how to prepare? This is my first time applying.

I’ve just had the email too. I know this maybe isn’t much but to get through the initial stage on my first application is huge for me.

Also, that’s a really speedy reply from them actually.

It’s a series of scenarios then you have multiple choice answers and you select correct one. You have 20 mins to get as many as you can

I’m taking it as , my cover letter and application stands out and is what they want to hear/see. So it’s a good start , can use on future applications

I passed the M7 SJT very recently - I'm curious if I'll have to do it again or if it's 'in the box' with the others I've done! I'd also be interested to know if a human has cast their eye over the applications yet or if they've been sifted via an algorithm as this is the first time I've had to include a cover letter.

I doubt very much the applications have been looked at by anyone, seems everyone who’s applied has received an email today

I’ve passed my SJT and all the other tests at enhanced level with WM trains - I’m also interested if I will have to re-sit.
