Howdy everyone

Just stuck my application in for the Plymouth apprenticeship role.
Now the waiting begins…
Good luck!

For the guys and gals who have been through the process earlier, how long after the closing date do you hear if you've made it to the next stage? Thanks

Hello,

I got this email from CrossCountry Arriva

Thank you for your application for the Apprentice Train Driver position at.......

For us to progress your application to the next stage, you will need to read the information below, which details the next step in the process, and complete a few questions using the link at the end of this email. Responses to the questionnaire are required by..... , if we do not here from you by this time, we will not be able to progress you any further on this occasion.
What happens AFTER I have completed the questionnaire?

You will be required to complete 2x online assessments facilitated by our assessment partner SHL. These assessments will be emailed to you in due course directly from SHL following the closure of the questionnaire, so please keep a look out in your inbox/SPAM folders.

Assessment 1: Apprentice 8.0 Job-focused assessment

SHL’s Job-Focused Assessments predict job success by evaluating key hard and soft skills tailored to specific roles. In this test, you will be required answer questions that will ask you to reflect on past experiences. Average testing time 30 minutes.

Assessment 2: Verify-Spatial Ability Test

This assessment measures the ability to perceive and transform visual shapes, forms, or images and/or the ability to maintain spatial orientation with regard to objects that may change or move through space. The Spatial Ability assessment is completely non-verbal and features only shapes and figures. Allowed testing time 15 minutes.

It is important that you allow ample time to complete these 2 tests and are in an environment that is free from noise and distraction. Once the test has started, you must complete it in the same session.

There is a required standard and criteria to reach on the above 2 assessments to progress to the next stage. If this is not met, unfortunately, this will be the end of the application process for you.

Applicants being progressed through to the next stage, will be contacted by one of the recruitment team in due course.

Please remember: The Apprentice Driver application process can be very lengthy and there may be periods of silence between stages. There is no need to chase your application, we will update you as we move through each stage.

As mentioned above, please complete the below form by ........ Please only submit one form, multiple submissions can cause unnecessary delays in the recruitment process.

And at the end of email I got a link for a questionaire.

My questions what should I from that questionaire as I haven't open it. I'm planning to do it Friday as is my day off.

Any piece of information is welcomed!

Thank you and have a nice day!

Questionaire was really straight forward. I was panicking about it but it is straight forward. As for the spatial awarness test all I can say is practice practice practice

That's great that you have had a reply. Which location did you go for?

I am at this stage, the questionnaire is simply personal info, it has no pass/fail element to it, though if you have ever taken the tests before you need to provide your NI number so they can cross check you against the system. I only need to pass the perception test so I hope the just fast-track me to that and I can skip the rest
