Just got rejection email also Birmingham. Fuming tbf considering it was in pending thought I got through to next round.

Not sure of pending is good anymore or good. Mine changed to pending quite quick before Xmas but got the unsuccessful email yesterday. I believe pending is when they look into it and make a decision

Looks like people were told about being booked on the March course last month. If that's full now then I understand the next course is May....

For me this was an escape route out of my current role longer term and my career for the rest of my life so it is disappointing.

Being in Scotland and Edinburgh in particular I'm not sure what other companies operate here ScotRail, CrossCountry are the only two I am aware of. With ScotRail in particular..well I won't pollute this thread with them.

Hi all. Another unsuccessful Edinburgh applicant for the CrossCountry role here.

Does anyone know if I can still apply to the LNER vacancy after failing the SHL tests for CrossCountry? LNER website specifies ‘must not have failed psychometric tests with any Train Operating Company in the last six months’. Does the initial online testing for CrossCountry class as psychometric?

No the SHL tests do not count as psychometrics. Get your application in!

I applied for the Newcastle depot back in October or November and I’ve just been invited to the RCG testing, just in case anyone else is waiting to hear back!

Same here for Leeds depot. Got a call on Friday to say passed SHL and to arrange a date in Manchester for the RCG assessments. Booked mine for mid February.

I did, but it was a rejection a few weeks back. I'd passed advanced standard recently with Northern. So I'm guessing if you haven't heard back you'll probably be at DMI stage once they've worked through the processes
