I also failed one of the psychometric tests for this position back in April, however I resat and passed the relevant test a week ago sitting as a private candidate in Manchester.

Just heard back from the recruitment team had confirmation I'm now definitely in the Talent Pool for Leeds. Just a relief to know I'm deffo in the pool!

Did they ask you to or did you do it off your own bat?

I was going to put it to them that if they could give me an update I'll put it on the forum for others to see. Must be easier then having multiple people message them
Did anything come of this?, this threads gone stale now of just people waiting to hear from the talent pool, or the DMI's

To be honest what would they really say, other than they’re working through the talent pools to fill depot requirements as courses come up? That and DMIs can only take place when managers are available to hold them.

I know it’s not great to hear but that’s just the reality of it and railway recruitment as a whole.

Just received a phone call from XC about sitting OPC assessments in January in Manchester
Good luck. It’s a tough day. Make sure you get plenty of rest.

Found out I passed opc and just sat waiting in talent pool for a date in 2025.
There’s 4 courses pencilled in for 2025 apparently,so people will start to hear in the new year.

Appreciate it mate.

I missed the call I just heard on the message he left that it was January and Manchester. I have been unable to get a hold of him since, were any other dates on offer?
He said there was available dates all that week, obviously not sure what dates are left

That’s great to hear that there are 4 courses next year thanks for finding that out. I’m also in the talent pool too so just waiting on a course.

Not yet, written invites will be sent next week.

It’s called RCG (Rail Competence Group) though, if you’re wanted a Google?
Yeah that's great mate I imagine it'll probably be at their offices/building in Manchester.

I haven’t heard anything. How did they let you know? I’ve had a missed call from a number I don’t recognise and wondered if it was just a coincidence

Thanks! It’s for the Cambridge depot. I got sent my offer in an e-mail last Monday and had my medical the next day on the 19th. The medical had been arranged by Optima after a referral from recruitment.

Cheers. I completed my DMI last December and they called me the next day. Messed up my MMI at the end of Jan, passed it at the beginning of November. So it’s been drawn out, but that was my fault!

Does anyone have any advice for the RCG MMI? I've previously sat the MMI with the OPC. Just wanted to know if their were any differences or how people felt comparing the two.

I can't imagine they'd be any difference at all, it's just a different company looking for the same criteria.
