From what I've read on this forum I understand that a gap of 10 minutes should be left between connections. Is there any reason why the CrossCountry App doesn't take this into consideration?

Was thinking of sending them some feedback but wanted to make sure there wasn't an obvious reason as to why it may do this first.

Not all stations require 10 minutes. Some stations (e.g Paddington or Waterloo) require more, whereas many stations, Taunton included, have a shorter connection time, in Taunton's case, 5 minutes.

Thanks for clearing up.

So I take it the App takes that information into consideration?

It's a basic feature of the underlying enquiry system - the App you use will just be a front end like any other App or web journey planner.
