Cross London Transfer - Best Route?

If it's raining, I would agree with those who are saying Victoria Line (Northern Line is a considerably longer walk and also involves more stairs) to Kings Cross then change to the Circle/H&C to Liverpool Street

If it's raining be a man and walk anyway . Serious answer though is to take the Victoria line to Kings Cross and change for the Met

Of course all these routes are assuming no engineering work

I don't understand the reference either. The station is situated underneath the Euston Road so there is no underpass to be used, just one of the two station entrances.

The newer and more prominent "glass box" entrance is on the South side of Euston Road, and for some reason many of those who wish to use the station often seem to cross the busy road on the level and then proceed to the underpass from the other side. This is not helped by a slight lack of signs to a subway/underpass immediately as you leave Euston itself. Naturally, you are quite right that the station is in fact below the road. As we can see above, even members of a rail forum may overlook the smaller entrance! And to be honest I don't blame you all for it.

As most have already said, it us simple. Walk to Euston Square and get the first train, Circle, Hammersmith and City, or Metropolitan eastbound. If you are lucky it will be a Met (all S stock), or a new H&C (S). But whichever they all go to Liverpool Street.

I want to avoid Euston Square, Northern or Vic and where to?

Northern (Bank branch) to Kings Cross or Moorgate then H&C/Circle/Met.

Victoria to Kings Cross then H&C/Circle/Met.

Victoria to Oxford Circus then Central to Liverpool Street.

Northern (Charing Cross branch) to Tottenham Court Road then Central.

The fourth option involves a long walk.

Euston to Moorgate via the Northern line is rather circuitous (the Circle between Euston Square and Moorgate is much straighter).

But timetabled to take the same length of time between Kings Cross and Moorgate- 6 minutes

Euston to Moorgate on the Northern Line is advantageous in that it doesn't involve going outside if it rains.

If I were you I'd go out the right exit (past Sainsbury's), cross using the zebra crossing, turn left and carry on to Euston Road, turn right and walk ahead to Euston Square.
