At the moment, the only thing we know for sure is that 6 of the 2-car 170s will be extended to 3-cars, using the centre cars from the 170/6s currently operated by West Midlands Trains.
Some 170's coaches are due to be cascaded to XC from West Midlands Trains.
Avanti are expected to cascade their Voyagers to the XC Franchise from 2022 onwards.
Apart from that - no idea, unless some more 170's are due to become available from somewhere?

Source please. The Class 170s are being transferred to EMR, with the exception of six centre coaches that are going to XC.
