Cross Country qualified driver assessment?

Hello everyone,

I have a qualified driver assessment coming up for Cross Country but couldn't find any info on what to expect on the day. Does any of you have any experience or info on the assessment?

Hi there when I had mine you had a questions and answer sheet for the latest rules updates etc that was 20 questions.
Then when I was done 3 xc personnel took the interview. The manager of the depot along with the Hr guy and an ops manger.
Various questions on xc as a company. Then scenario rules based questions etc and also questions on how you handled certain situations that cropped up in your working environment ie irate passenger, train failure, running late or a difficult situation personal to you and how you dealt with it etc.
Why do you want the job etc. Also ask them questions about how they can help you being a new recruit etc and to fit in.
Try to control the questions , relax and be yourself .what depot did you go for?

Hi there, when I had mine it was pretty grueling! There where 4 on the panel, your Driver Manager, The Regional Manager and the HR Guy and another HR Guy taking notes.
I had a booklet of 40 rules questions to answer but was told to only answer the ones they'd selected, around 20, they go away and mark them then return with a load of scenario based questions which they really go into detail about.
Plenty of questions on the company and how you'd react in certain situations, I was for Edinburgh along with a few others.
Which depot you applied for i may know someone to put you in touch with?
