Cross Country First Class

Hi all,

I'm just curious whether anyone has recent experience of the catering offered to First Class passengers on Cross Country?

I notice a new menu has been uploaded to their website, after several months of it claiming a "new, best ever" menu would be "coming soon."

Notably the only hot option for breakfast is porridge. (The other options being either a Pain Au Chocolat or a Croissant)

I was surprised recently to be offered a bacon roll on a service from Sheffield, was exceptionally good too!

If Cross Country really wanted to offer a decent level of First Class service on their Voyagers, they could copy Avanti and install the small ovens which they have on their 221s and serve a re heated "ready meal" style cooked breakfast, which I think isn't actually bad compared with the freshly prepared breakfast served on their Pendolinos.

Theoretically, they do a hot breakfast sandwich in the morning and offer a couple of other hot options during the day- one was a vegan panini. There's light snacks if you're on a shorter journey.

On my first class all-line rover last month I only made two journeys on XC Voyagers....one was from Cheltenham to Leeds in the evening (17 05 from Cheltenham) and the other from Taunton to Bristol TM via Westbury on a Sunday morning. In both cases I was only offered crisps, biscuits, slices of cake and hot drinks.
