Hi,

I’m currently a qualified driver with another TOC and after some information please on CX and Newcastle Depot.

Am I right in my understanding that CX operate with train managers/guards/on board supervisors (sorry I’m not sure what the official title is on CX). Are they responsible for the door release and close or is this the driver? Hopefully that question doesn’t lead to a wider discussion

Would anyone also be able to answer what the earliest and latest turns are too please and what the rest pattern is? I understand Sundays are on a committed basis. Feel free to DM me about this if easier.

Newcastle I understand to sign Leeds/Doncaster - Edinburgh, plus various diversions.

Many thanks for any help in advance and hopefully I have posted in the correct/best section.

XC have guards, drivers release doors, and use the 10bell dispatch method, so drivers close the doors on instruction from the guard.

Unsure of the rest. Lots of XC depots are on a 4day week with rolling RDs, long weekend every 3rd week

They also sign Derby via Doncaster and Leeds. If I'm not mistaken earliest book on around 04.45 and latest book off around 23.45.
