Hi, seen plenty of old info regarding cross country assessment days, just wandering if there is any new information as to whether the assessment day has changed much? Anyone else going next Monday? 17/09/2018 at Birmingham.

The day will consist of the written tests - group discussion - interview. Normally in that order but if there are people who don't need to sit the tests you might do the group discussion first. You have to pass both the tests and the discussion phase to make it to interview.

Fantastic, thanks, pretty much what I thought it would be. Have also heard the group's are generally quite small at these things.

It depends. I've had groups of 3 and groups of up to 12.

I used to work for cross country trains. I never understood the point of the group discussions. Pointless. I wish you luck in the process. My advice for the group part is make sure you get input into the discussion and if there is someone that is sat there looking scared and not talking try and bring them into the discussion. You get points for that haha.
