Incident: Sutton Coldfield | National Rail

Lines reopened between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield Trent Valley. Find details of all current incidents on National Rail Enquiries.

How did the overhead electric wires get damaged and will disruption actually continue beyond 6pm not end at 17:00?

Believed to be a tree kept coming into contact with OHL, caused a trip.
There is no obvious signs of damage.
As for after 1700, unknown.

More problems this morning with a points failure between New Street and University, as well as delays on the Walsall line...
