Croatian railways: where to go

Hi all, I'm off to Croatia for a week in July and an looking to travel all over the country. Already have the HZ 2044's planned on the zagreb to varazdin sleepers but I'm wondering if there is any good freight hotspots about with plenty of decent traction? Cheers

Been a couple of years since I went but there wasn't that much freight. Dego Selo or somewhere on the mainline south out of Zagreb once the avoider has joined up might be a half decent bet, but not much hauled now as I understand.

Osijek line by far the best bet to sample a 2044, the Varazdin line is a stagger. You can do a cart across from Varazdin to Koprivishtca between the two which comes in handy if Varazdin swap the loco out to detonate the move.

Cheers for in the info, I hope to do the Osijek line but I'm not sure which diagrams the 2044's operate. Any idea if there is an all day rover tickets available there?
